Because our sauces and relishes are perishable food items, returns and refunds are limited and only permitted in the circumstances described below.
1. General Policy
Due to the nature of our food products, which are perishable, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on any items that:
– Have a shelf life of less than one month from the date of purchase, or
– Have been opened, tampered with, or partially used, unless the product was faulty upon opening.
Refunds or exchanges will only be considered under specific conditions as outlined below.
2. Eligibility for Returns or Refunds
To qualify for a return or refund, you must:
– Notify us in writing within 7 calendar days of delivery or purchase;
– Provide proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation); and
– Ensure the product is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging and condition.
Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the return or refund being declined.
3. Faulty or Defective Products
If a product is faulty before or upon opening (e.g., spoiled, off-taste, or seal compromised), you must:
– Notify us within 7 days of delivery;
– Provide clear photographic evidence, including the batch code;
– Retain the product until further instruction.
We will arrange collection at our cost and, upon inspection, offer either a replacement or refund.
No refunds or replacements will be processed without sufficient evidence or if the product was stored improperly after delivery.
4. Damaged Products
If products arrive damaged (e.g., leaking or broken seal):
– Take a clear photo of the damaged product and packaging, including the batch code;
– Report the damage within 48 hours of receipt;
– Do not consume or discard the product until our team confirms.
We will replace the damaged item and deliver it at no additional cost.
Please note: Dented plastic bottles do not qualify as “damaged” unless leakage or contamination has occurred.
5. Incorrect Product Supplied
If we supply the wrong item:
– Notify us within 7 days of receipt;
– Keep the product unopened and in original condition.
We will arrange collection and, after inspection, dispatch the correct item at our cost. No additional charges will apply.
6. Incorrect Product Ordered by Customer
If you mistakenly ordered the wrong product(s):
– You may return them at your own expense within 10 days of purchase;
– Products must be sealed, unused, and in resaleable condition.
Refunds will exclude the original delivery fee.
If you wish to exchange the product, you will be responsible for both return and redelivery courier costs, and any price difference between items.
7. Non-Refundable Items
No refunds or exchanges will be offered for:
– Discounted, promotional, or sale items;
– Custom-made or special-order items;
– Items not returned within the specified timeframes.
8. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect the returned item:
– Refunds (if approved) will be processed to the original payment method;
– Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to reflect;
– Refund approval is at the sole discretion of Ramotshwedi (Pty) Ltd, subject to inspection and compliance with this policy.
9. Consumer Protection
This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
However, due to the perishable nature of our goods, certain standard consumer return rights do not apply once the product has been opened, used, or improperly stored.
10. Required Information for Returns
All refund or return requests must include:
– Your full name, contact number, and address;
– Proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation);
– A detailed reason for the return;
– Photographic evidence (where applicable).

This policy is in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 but necessarily restricts certain rights because the goods are perishable foods.
